Educational Service Unit #13, is adding to our Early Development Network (EDN) team! We are looking for a part-time  Services Coordinator to serve families in Scottsbluff and Banner Counties. The EDN Service Coordinator serves as the single point of contact in helping parents gain services and assistance and is responsible for the identification, referral, and coordination of services for families of children with disabilities. EDN Services coordinators arrange home visits to work with families who have children from birth to age two with health or developmental concerns.

Minimum Qualifications include:

  • Two years’ experience in a health and/or human services field or 24 semester hours of post high school education in behavioral sciences, social sciences or closely related field or any combination of education and experience that equates to two years in human services, behavioral sciences, social sciences, or closely related field.
  • Must have experience working with families of children with special needs, young children, infants and toddlers; experience with a broad variety of community agencies that provide services to young children with disabilities and families; and experience working with culturally diverse families
  • Candidate must have a valid Driver's License
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills and word processing functions

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain an efficient referral system for use by the agency and individuals in a position to make those referrals
  • Facilitate and support parent advocacy skills
  • Contact agencies to be utilized for the initial evaluation of a child
  • Coordinate the services of the involved agencies, until families are ready to assume that role or no longer qualify for services coordination
  • Arrange, coordinate and facilitate Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) team meetings
  • Facilitate transition plan development
  • Develop resources when needed
  • Assist families in finding services
  • Maintain family and staff confidentiality at all times
  • Active member of Planning Region 14
  • Demonstrates responsibility, reliability, and maturity in accountability of job performance

Job Description: Autism Behavioral Specialist

 

Educational Service Unit #13 seeks to hire an Autism Spectrum Disorders Behavioral Specialist for the Nebraska Autism Spectrum Disorder Network. This is new position that is anticipated to begin in the 2018-19 school year.  Successful applicants must meet the following minimal requirements:

 

  • Master’s Degree in Special Education or related field
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst preferred
  • Three years or more of professional and or school-based work with children and youth

              with ASD and/or behavior disorders

  • Knowledge and understanding of best practices in interventions for students with ASD
    as well as experience implementing diverse, empirically supported programming
  • Experience in a leadership and/or collaborative role with educational personnel, community providers and family members
  • Valid Driver’s license
     

 

Duties Include:

 

  • Provide on-going consultation and program planning support services to school districts across the state for students with autism and/or severe behavior disorders
  • Assist teams in conducting a functional behavior assessment
  • Assist in the development and implementation of specific teaching procedures for target student
  • Provide support to teams in the area of graphing and analyzing data/behavior and making decisions based on data.
  • Training all team members on specific evidence based interventions
  • Collaboration with the ASD Network State and Regional Coordinators on all referral activity and district training needs

Therapist/Psychologist

Head Start Teacher in Scottsbluff, Sidney, and Bridgeport

ESU13 is looking for Head Start Teachers in Scottsbluff, Sidney, and Bridgeport.  The Head Start Teacher is responsible for the implementation of the education and family engagement objectives through daily operation of your center in accordance with the Department of Health and Human Services.  Also, the Head Start Teacher is responsible for the implementation of the Head Start Performance Standards. Preference for qualifications are a minimum of an AA Degree with a minimum of 18 hours in Early Childhood.  Interested individuals please complete an ESU13 application, and a resume, and return to Jerry Becking at (jbecking@esu13.org)
