Tools and Technology Through Time
Tools and Technology Through Time is a 'hands on history' event for area 4th grade students sponsored by ESU 13 and Legacy of the Plains Museum. This two-day event has taken place for over 20 years, averaging 550 students participating each year!
This valuable learning experience allows students to extend their learning of the Nebraska Social Studies and Science standards. The students learn about simple machines and tools used to make life easier for the Nebraska pioneer. Students rotate through eight stations hosted by museum volunteers. The stations include learning about blacksmith trade, potato slicing, block and tackle, work horses, corn grinding, irrigation, and more!
