About Us
The Alternative Education Department is dedicated to providing personalized and flexible learning opportunities for students facing unique challenges. Our programs include the Valley Alternative Learning Transitioning School, which empowers students to adapt and succeed in a rapidly changing world through engaging and supportive learning environments; the Title IC Migrant Education Program, which supports migrant children by reducing barriers caused by frequent moves across school district boundaries; and the Nebraska Educational Virtual Academy, offering a flexible, online learning experience for students who need a non-traditional approach to education. Together our programs focus on creating an inclusive, empowering educational experience that meets the diverse needs of every student, helping them reach their full potential.
